- STATEMENT OF WORKHELP DESK COORDINATOR/TRAINER The VA Salt Lake City Health Care System (VASLCHCS) has a requirement for a Training/Help Desk Coordinator in the VHA Veterans Informatics and Information Computing Infrastructure (VINCI).Contractor's Responsibilities:1. To manage VASLCHCS's responsibilities for Healthcare Data Warehousing Association.2. Promote professional training and development for researchers utilizing the VINCI resource ensuring that the researchers are able to take advantage of all the tools and effectively query the secure databases. Training shall include:"Needs assessment and analysis."Development of a strategic training plan for researchers from HSRET and then all of VHA who will use the VINCI resource to accomplish their work. The VINCI environment is new and research teams are to be trained to use the resource and to obtain support in their requests for data and requests for access to secure databases."Scheduling and coordinating training events."Newsletter development. (2-3 targeted newsletters shall be issued per month focusing on specific uses of the VINCI resource). These newsletters will serve to promote VINCI and to maintain communication with VA users for changes to the databases and availability of new data."SharePoint support.Additional Requirements:"Coordinate with Veterans Information Resource Center (VIReC)."Facilitate coordination w/outreach research groups. VINCI has a staged roll-out; first serving researchers from Consortium for Healthcare Informatics Research (CHIR); then HSRED researchers; then VHA researchers and eventually researchers from other Government agencies as well as private industry. "Process research project applications for data access. The VINCI Program is tasked to provide VA researchers with data in a secure virtual working environment. There are Five (5) objectives: 1. Build a high-performance secure computing environment.2. Consolidate VA data into functional, efficient SQL databases.3. Facilitate access to national level patient data in compliance with all VA regulations for privacy and security.4. Develop and provide new and innovative software tools to enhance the use of free-text, unstructured data contained in the Electronic Health Record.5. Provide Help Desk functions - both IT and Research to ensure our users are satisfied with both the data and the access to data.
