- Description
- The Naval Medical Logistics Command, Fort Detrick, MD intends to negotiate on a sole source basis IAW FAR 13.106-1(b)(2) with Innov-X Systems, 100 Sylvan Rd STE 500, Woburn, MA 01801-1721, as the only responsible source that can provide a Innov-X Alpha Soil Sample Analyzer. Specifically, the analyzer package includes: Environmental Metals Analyzer - Part No: A-4000; Soil Analysis Package - Part No: M4000S; Filter Analysis Package - Part No: M4000F; Hands Free Test Stand-Docking Station - Part No: A010; AC Adapter - Part No: A013. In compliance with the Command’s Initiative to enhance Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) for Expeditionary Medical Logistics Program applications, the only technically acceptable item that has (ILS) support is the Soil Analysis Package manufactured by Innov-X Systems, Inc. The Soil Analysis Package made by Innov-X Systems, Inc. has been standardized for all of the FDPMU’s. This acquisition is being conducted under simplified acquisition procedures (IAW FAR 13.5). There are no set-aside restrictions for this requirement. The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 423490 with a Small Business Size Standard of 500 employees. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation document exists for this requirement. However, parties interested in responding to this notice will need to submit technical data, sufficient to determine capability in providing the same brand name product. All capability statements received within 15 days after publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Capability statements shall be submitted by email only as a MS Word or Adobe PDF attachment to Christina Boyd-Brown christina.boyd-brown@med.navy.mil. Statements are due by 4:00pm (EST) 21 Aug 2009.
