Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst intends to award a Firm Fixed Price Contract on a sole source basis to AAI Corporation, Hunt Valley, MD. The procurement is for a quantity of one (1) Advanced Boresight Equipment (ABE) Common System for installation and utilization of an ABE for the V-22 Aircraft. The Government intends to procure the ABE System under the authority of 10 U.S.C 2304(c) (1) as cited in FAR 6.302-1 “Only One Reasonable Source”, therefore, a solicitation is not available for this procurement. AAI Corporation is the original equipment manufacturer of the ABE System and is the only source possessing the technical data needed to manufacture the required equipment. A determination not to open the requirement to competition, based upon the response(s) to this notice is solely at the discretion of the Government.
