Small Business Set-Aside: Total Small Business
Description: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotes are being requested for the required items and no written solicitation will be issued. Solicitation number W911S709T0311 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ).This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-34 31 July 2009. This acquisition is a total (100%) Small Business set-aside.The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 333298 with a small business size standard of 500 employees. Ft. Leonard Wood MO requires the following item: CLIN0001: a shredding device capable of shredding/destroying the following materials: Paper up to 300 sheets per load; thin guage sheet metal including steel and aluminum, fiberglass, PVC and similar plastics up to 1.5 thickness, up to 18 guage copper wire. The items to be fed into the device are of irregular shape. It is estimated that a throat opening size of 20-24 will be requried. The device shall shred/screen the debris to a 1 size. The device shall include three or more reusable disposal bags/containers. No installation such as mounting or connecting the device to electrical service is needed. Quoters shall submit full technical specifications for their offered item. Technical specifications shall include a full description of the device, size and electrical requirements of the motor(s), type of cutters, screen specifications and any other information necessary so that the Government can make a reasonable determination as the the suitability of the offered item. The Government desires a delivery time of no more than 30 days after contract award, in the event that your firm cannot deliver the required item within this time specify a number of days after receipt of a contract that your firm can deliver the item.
