Description
The contractor shall furnish all depot level labor, facilities, special tooling, test equipment and materials for maintenance and overhaul of the ROTARY BLADE INPUT/OUPUT NSN: 1615-01-164-8470; INPUT/OUPUT P/N: 406-016-100-109 INPUT/OUPUT NSN: 1615-01-358-3193; INPUT/OUPUT P/N: 406-016-100-115 The proposed contractual action will be for a 3 year, firm fixed price Indefinite Delivery Quantity (IDIQ) type contract, with a minimum quantity of 5 and a maximum of 66 for NSN 1615-01-164-8470 and a minimum quantity of 40 and a maximum quantity of 500 for NSN 1615-01-358-3193. This is a Critical Safety Item (CSI). This item is not a commercial item. There is no Depot Maintenance Work Requirement (DMWR) for this overhaul. The only known source of overhaul data for the rotary blade is the manufacturers blueprints/production drawings presently controlled by Bell Helicopter, Cage Code 97499, 600 East Hurst Blvd, Hurst, Texas 76053-8030. Bell Helicopter is the only approved source for this CSI item. Since the item has been identified as a CSI it requires Overhaul from an approved source IAW DFAR 9.202, Subpart 209-2. Refer to Competition Managements website http://www.redstone.army.mil/cgi-bin/cmo_main/casl.pl for more details on the SAR process. All responsible sources may submit an offer that may be considered by the agency. The required production schedule is 12 per month. Input will be 30 days after receipt of order (ARO). Output shall be 180 days ARO. Firms that recognized and perform maintenance and overhaul on the required items described above are encouraged to identify themselves. No telephone requests or emails for solicitation will be accepted. REQUEST FOR SOLICITATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED BY MAIL OR FAX at 256-955-9237. This requirement is currently unfunded. Award will be withheld pending receipt of sufficient funds. The closing date annotated is an estimated date and may be adjusted depending upon the date of release of the solicitation; however, the solicitation will not close prior to the closing date stated above.
