Description
The Federal Bureau of Prisons, U.S. Medical Center for Federal Prisoners, Springfield, Missouri, intends to make a single award for the provision of Bulk Solar Salt, extra course for the Powerhouse Water Softeners at the U.S. Medical Center for Federal Prisoners, 1900 W. Sunshine Street, Springfield, Missouri 65807. The successful contractor must have the capability and equipment for the salt to be blown through a four (4) inch pipe to a brine tank. This tank is located outside the perimeter fence at the powerhouse. It is estimated that 24 tons of solar salt shall be delivered per delivery with an estimated eight (8) deliveries during the period of October 1, 2009 through September 30, 2010. The delivery schedule will be based on an as needed basis. Award will be made to the responsible contractor whose offer conforming to the solicitaiton is considered to be most advantageous to the Government based on price related factors only. This acquisition is a 100% small business set-aside, FOB destination, firm fixed price contract. The solicitation will be available on or about August 20, 2009, and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administrations Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizopps.gov. All future information conerning this acquisition including solicitation amendments, will be distribution solely through this website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure you have the most up-to-date information abou this solicitation. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The anticipated date for receipt of quotations is on or about September 3, 2009. Payments will be made using Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). All contractors doing business with the Federal Government shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. The website for registration is www.ccr.gov. Per FAR 52.212-3 each offeror may complete their representations and certifications via the Online Representations and Certifications Applications (ORCA) at http://orca.bpn.gov. If an offeror has not completed the annual representation and certifications online, then the offeror shall submit a hard-copy with their quotation. Faith-Based and Community Based Organizations have the right to submit offers/quotes equally with other organization for contracts.
