- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 and 13.106, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Quotes shall reference solicitation number W911RZ-09-T-0289. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-33. Fort Carson intends to award a Firm-Fixed-Price Contract for Physical Training (PT) Equipment. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 451110 with a small business size standard of $7.0 million. This requirement is set aside 100% for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses. In accordance with FAR 19.102(f) and the Non-Manufacturer Rule, a business is only considered to be small when it meets the size standard of the NAICS code and also supplies items manufactured by itself or another small business performing in the U.S. The Contractor shall propose the following Contract Line Item Numbers (CLINS): CLIN 0001: Bodyweight Suspension Harness Training Kit. TRX-Force Kit QTY: 124 kits -Brand name or equal -1 to 2 inches industrial-grade nylon webbing with rated tensile strength to 1,250 pounds and sewn with heavy-gauge bonded nylon thread -Adjustable non-slip cam buckles rated to 1,250 pounds each -Club-grade grips and integrated foot cradles with padding for comfort and traction -Sturdy locking carabineer to ensure safe training -Adjustable from 6' to 12' in length to accommodate users of all sizes and abilities -Weighs no more than 10 pounds If the contractor is quoting items other than the brand name and model requested, the contractor shall provide the manufacturers name, model number and detailed specifications of the item in their quote. CLIN 0002: Rope QTY: 124 units -2 in diameter and 50 foot long nylon rope -Rope braided or sealed at the end to allow grip and prevent fraying CLIN 0003: Rubberized Ten Pound Medicine Ball QTY: 124 units -Rubberized, heavy duty 10 pound medicine ball -Surface of ball must allow for easy grip -Ball must be able to bounce CLIN 0004: Dumbbell Set QTY: 124 sets -Set must include hexagonal head dumbbell weights from 5-50 lbs at 5 lb increments -Dumbbells must be cast from American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) grade 20 gray iron -All edges and corners must be ground smooth for safe handling CLIN 0005: Forty Pound Adjustable Kettle Ball QTY: 127 units -Kettleball weight must be adjustable from 10-40 pounds in 5 pound increments -Weight adjustment (plate or other means) must be securable to the kettleball to prevent release during movement FAR and DFARS Provisions and Clauses: The following provisions and clauses are applicable to this purchase order and may be viewed at http://farsite.hill.af.mil/.
