- The Army Contracting Command, Joint Munitions and Lethality ContractingCenter, desires to extend the RDECOM-ARDEC Science & Technology Innovation Enterprise to include industry, academic, and commercial partners (both traditional and non-traditional defense contractors) through entering into Section 845 Prototype Other Transaction Agreements with consortia for the Research and Development of Technologies to fill the complete spectrum of ARDEC technology needs throughout the armaments life cycle. Through interactive collaborations with consortia, the Government expects to advance the development and maturation of areas of technology as applied to armaments systems. Anticipated technology focus areas under these Other Transaction Agreements include, but are not limited to: Advanced Materials and NanotechnologyMetallurgy and Metal Parts forming and processingNon destructive testing methodologyMicro and Nano Electronics fabrication and testingElectronics Systems TechnologiesManufacturing SciencesPolymer and Filled Composites fabrication and processingModeling and SimulationOpticsBiometricsPower and Energy Management SciencesInformation and ERP technologiesLogistics SciencesRapid PrototypingAcousticsData Fusion ARDEC plans to conduct external and internal technology activities through these teams to leverage government expertise/knowledge with commercial/academia abilities. The Government is seeking established consortia with collective expertise in the above mentioned areas. Respondents should include the following information regarding their consortium; name, vision, mission statement, goals, membership (indicating traditional and non traditional defense contractors), success criteria, metrics, management framework, articles of collaboration, fee structure and other information which the respondent considers of assistance in developing successful government/academia/industrial partnerships as referenced in 10 U.S.C. Section 2371. No sensitive or classified information will be discussed. Foreign-owned, controlled, or influenced firms are advised that security restrictions may apply that may preclude their participation in these efforts.
