Description
THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTES (RFQ) OR AN INVITATION FOR BID (IFB), NOR IS IT TO BE CONSTRUED AS A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT. The U.S. 409th Contracting Support Brigade - Europe has a requirement for the following commercial items to support the U.S. Army Ammunition Centers mission. The Government intends to restrict competition for this requirement to a specific brand name (STILL) for standardization purposes. The delivery terms for this requirement are FOB destination to Miesau, Germany. Forklifts shall be capable to handle EURO pallets as well as US standard pallets. They shall be new, shall comply with the applicable DIN, VDE and accident prevention regulations and shall comply with safety regulations established by the US Corps of Engineers. The solicitation will be issued on or about September 1, 2009, and responses will be due 15 calendar days thereafter. The requirement consists of the following: Electric Forklift - 4000 LB 7 each. Model: RX 60-25 Electric Forklift - 6000 LB1 eachModel: RX 60-30 Electric Forklift - 10000 LB1 eachModel: RX 60-50 Diesel Forklift - 4000 LB9 eachModel: RX 70-22 Diesel Forklift - 6000 LB12 eachModel: RX 70-35 The Government intends to acquire these commercial items using FAR part 12, and 13.5 or a combination thereof. Interested vendors may submit, in writing, their capabilities and qualifications to the identified point of contact, no later than 4:30 pm CET on August 14, 2009. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Oral communications in response to this notice are not acceptable. All responsible sources may submit a capabilities document which shall be considered by the Government.
