Description
Description: The U.S. Army Contracting Command, Joint Munitions and LethalityContracting Center, on behalf of The Office of the Project Manager, ManeuverAmmunition Systems, located at Picatinny, NJ is seeking possible sources forthe manufacture and delivery of 105mm Tank Tactical Ammunition M1040 Anti-Personnel (APERS) Cartridges, inclusive of packaging, for a quantity of 3000-5000 units per year from FY11-FY15. This office is also contemplating thatthis action will be limited to United States and Canadian firms. The M1040Cartridge, DODIC: CA40, NSN: 1315-01-5266550, is used in the Stryker VehicleFamily of the Mobile Gun System. It is an anti-personnel round used to defeatan advancing dismounted infantry squad at specific distances. Specifications: A Technical Drawing Package (TDP) 13012536 - COAI-CRTG, 105mmCANISTER M1040 will be used for this procurement. The TDP uses detailed spec(DTL) DTL13012536 and will be available upon request. Planned Acquisition: A five year (FY11-FY15); Single Award; SystemsContractor (restricted to NTIB); Firm Fixed Price (FFP) is contemplated forthis effort. The approximate quantities are 3000-5000 units per year. Submission Information: THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION AND DOES NOT OBLIGATE THEGOVERNMENT TO ISSUE A SOLICITATION. Please be advised that the Government willnot pay for any information submitted under this announcement. Electronicsubmittals are preferred. Allresponding sources shall provide a summary of their company's capabilitiesincluding organizations, name/address/point of contact identification, adescription of facilities/equipment, manufacturing process, inspectioncapability, personnel, past experience as an large caliber tank ammunitionproducer or systems contractor, proven monthly production capacity and/orpotential capability, possible partnering/teaming arrangements; and whether the company is a small or large business. This market survey is forinformation and planning purposes only, does not constitute a solicitation,and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. See NumberedNotes 13 & 25.
