- Description
- The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Beckley, West Virginia, is seeking potential sources capable of providing existing Medical Piped Gas systems annul inspection in compliance with applicable Joint Commission, NFPA 99, CGA, and AHIA specifications. VAMC, medical piped gas systems to be inspected are Medical Air, Nitrogen, Nitrous Oxide, Oxygen, and Vacuum. Inspection will include: * Evaluation of patient performance, * Emergency shut-off controls, * All medical gas alarm systems, * Provide ana evaluation of all source supply equipment, *Test the alarm activation points for the oxygen master alarm is activating at the proper set point. Existing medical piped gas systems will be evaluated for solid and gaseous contaminants. Follow-up consultation and recommendations concerning all necessary repairs will be provided to VAMC Beckley, Facilities Management Service Line Chief upon completion of annul inspection. Period of performance is October 01, 2009 (are date of award) thru September 30, 2010, with four (4) one (1) year renewal options that can be exercised by the Government. Contractor shall also provide environmental testing and sampling of the Waste Anesthetic Gas system found in Beckley VAMC's four opersting rooms. The work shall include high and low leak testing which must be performed in accordance with: NIOSH Publication 77-140, Occupational Exposure to Waste Anesthetic gases and vapors, and Health standards for general industry. The Contractor will provide all materials, equipment, and personnel to accomplish the above service on a quarterly basis. A written report shall be provided to the Facilities Management Service Line Chief within 30 days of each quarter's work. Testing shall be scheduled quarterly with VAMC Beckley Industrial Hygienist between the hours of 08:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., excluding Federal Holidays. Service shall be for the period of October 01, 2009 (or date of award) through September 30, 2010, with four (4) one (1) year renewal options that can be exercised by the Government. The applicable NAICS Code is 541620 with a size standard of $7.0Mil. No formal solicitation document exists at this time. Responses to this sources sought notice should include the following: name and address of company; business size (large or small); identify whether or not firm falls into any of the following socioeconomic categories - 8(a), HUBZone, Service Disabled Veteran-Owned; firm's experience in providing Environmental Consulting service within a hospital, medical facility or a professional setting, which demonstrates ability to meet the above requirement.
