- NOTICE This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation, FDA-SOL-09-1059300, is issued as a Request for Quotes (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 05-35. The acquisition is set-aside for Small Business. The associated NAICS code is 334516 and small business size standard is $ 500.0 Millions. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) seeks competition for the following equipment: -ARGOS MODEL 2400 BB-15 CW OPO with B range Module NOTE: MUST BE EXACT MATCHED Evaluation: Specifications • The IR Widely Tunable High-Power Laser System must possess a broad tuning spectral range in the near/mid-IR: 1.6-1.85 μm and 2.5-3.2 μm • The IR Widely Tunable High-Power Laser System must possess a high average output power: >1 W • The IR Widely Tunable High-Power Laser System must possess a narrow spectral linewidth: < 6 nm • The IR Widely Tunable High-Power Laser System must possess a laser beam quality of M2< 1.1 • The IR Widely Tunable High-Power Laser System must have a Power stability: < 5% rms • The IR Widely Tunable High-Power Laser System must be a compact, all-solid-state, IR tunable laser system Evaluation Criteria • 20 Points - The IR Widely Tunable High-Power Laser System must possess a broad tuning spectral range in the near/mid-IR: 1.6-1.85 μm and 2.5-3.2 μm • 30 Points - The IR Widely Tunable High-Power Laser System must possess a high average output power: >1 W • 10 Points - The IR Widely Tunable High-Power Laser System must possess a narrow spectral linewidth: < 6 nm • 10 Points - The IR Widely Tunable High-Power Laser System must possess a laser beam quality of M2< 1.1 • 20 Points - The IR Widely Tunable High-Power Laser System must have a Power stability: < 5% rms • 10 Points - The IR Widely Tunable High-Power Laser System must be a compact, all-solid-state, IR tunable laser system Price: FDA will evaluate the offeror's submission/proposal on their ability to provide support at a reasonable and realistic price (to include any discounts offered).
