Description
The National Park Service anticipates the award of an order for Unpaved Road Aggregate Surfacing to be delivered to Lava Beds National Monument located in Tulelake, CA. An award will be made for 8,000 Tons of aggregate meeting the specification requirements of the Request for Quotation (RFQ) to be delivered to Medicine Lake Road in Lava Beds NM. Four additive line items are included for various quantities of the same material delivered to other locations within the Monument, subject to the availability of funding at the time of award. Deliveries will be made by end dump trucks with spreader chains to evenly distribute the load on the roadway or dump into a self propelled paving machine. 300-500 tons shall be delivered per day (Monday through Friday) beginning on or about the week of September 28, 2009. The RFQ is available online only and can be downloaded at either the FedBizOpps site at http://www.fbo.gov or directly from the Department of Interior website at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. The contractor is responsible for periodically checking the website for any Amendments that may be posted prior to the closing date of August 31, 2009. This acquisition is unrestricted and is being pursued under full and open competition procedures. All responsible sources may submit a response which, if timely received, will be considered. The NPS welcomes the participation of small, minority, women, and disabled veteran owned business enterprises capable of performing this work. Please note - This project is funded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act and the contractor must meet all reporting requirements as described in FAR 52.204-11. The Contractor shall report the required information using the online reporting tool available at www.FederalReporting.gov.
