Description
This contract action was not awarded as a fixed price type because uncertainties involved in contract performance did not permit costs to be estimated with sufficient accuracy to use any type of fixed price contract. As such, a cost-reimbursement type action was awarded (FAR 16.301-2). The Kansas City District of the Corps of Engineers will be issuing a Cost-Plus Fixed-Fee task order on a previously competed Multiple Award Task Order Contract to Cabrera Services Inc. (CAGE: 1C7V2) from East Hartford, CT. The Wayne Interim Storage Site (WISS) is located at 868 Black Oak Ridge Road, at the intersection of Pompton Plains Cross Road, in Wayne Township, Passaic County, New Jersey. It is located within a highly developed area of northern New Jersey, approximately 20 miles north-northwest of Newark, New Jersey. The work includes characterization and spot removal of contaminated soils along the storm sewer pipe under Black Oak Ridge Road. Work will also include packaging and transportation of contaminated materials. Finally the work will include the removal and replacement of the entire length of the pipe that is adjacent to the former WISS property. The entire length of the pipe and 3 associated inlet boxes will have to be replaced.
