- Map to Site Showing Wage Rates Drawings Constructions and Material Specifications Request for Quotes/Solicitation Package USDA NRCS is seeking interested and qualified contractors capable of repair/rehabilitation of a wetland restoration. This project consists of the re-establishment of the stream channel, re-grading the flood plain to re-establish the hydrology of the site and construction of two low embankments with a rock lined apron spillway to form an off-channel pothole for water impoundment. Erosion and sediment control in the form of a silt fence shall be installed and maintained during the construction phase and during the establishment of vegetative cover. The site will require de-watering during construction; the degree of which will depend on the weather conditions and the amount of runoff during the construction phase. The earthen material from the previously constructed embankment will be used in the construction of the berm and for re-grading of the flood plain. Rocks or stones exceeding 6 inches in diameter during construction shall be stock piled for use in constructing the rock lined apron spillway. If there is not enough rock on site, rock shall be purchased to construct the rock lined apron spillway. The newly re-constructed pothole will have two embankments to impound the water and it will extend further to the north. A rock lined apron spillway in the southwest embankment will allow excess stream flow into the pothole. The pothole will also have an emergency spillway on the north side at an elevation approximately 0.5 feet higher than the elevation of the rock lined apron spillway. The site shall be limed, fertilized, seeded and mulched after construction. Award is reserved for Emerging Small Business in accordance with the Small Business Competitive Demonstration Program. A firm fixed price award is anticipate. Price range is less than $25,000 A site showing is planned for Tuesday, August 11 at the site - 1167 Middleline Road ( County Route 59 ) Ballston Spa, NY 12020 - map attached
