Description
The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) intends to award a fixed price contract to Matthew Bender Company, Inc., 1275 Broadway, Albany, NY 12204. The contractor shall provide the following legal and accounting publications and their updates in print or electronic formats (CD-ROM) that are published from September 1, 2009 through: Accounting for Public Utilities (11-1-2009-8-31-2010)(1) ; Administrative Law(2); Antitrust Counseling and Litigation Techniques(1); Antitrust & Trade Regulations: Desk Edition(1); Applying GAAP and GAAS(5); Nimmer on Copyright(1); Attorney’s Handbook of Accounting, Auditing, and Financial Reporting(1); Bank Holding Company Compliance Manual(1); Benders Federal Practice Forms(2); Blue Sky Regulation(1); Business Law Monographs, Volume 11—Complying with the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act(1); Taxation of Securities Transactions(1); California Small Business Guide(1); Collier Bankruptcy Act Pamphlet 2009 (A)(3); Collier Bankruptcy Cases-2nd Series(1); LexisNexis CD-Collier Bankruptcy Practice Package, 2 current users; Collier Bankruptcy Practice Guide(2); Collier on Bankruptcy, 15th edition (6); Commercial Law and Practice Guide(1); Corporate Acquisitions and Mergers(1); D.C. The publications shall be provided to the SEC Offices in the quantities specified at the following 12 locations: Washington, DC; Los Angeles, CA; San Francisco, CA; Salt Lake City, UT; Denver, CO; Ft. Worth, TX; Chicago, IL; New York, NY; Boston, MA; Atlanta, GA; Miami, FL; and, Philadelphia, PA. The period of performance is September 1, 2009 through August 31, 2010. This notice is in accordance with FAR Pt. 8.405-6(b)(1)-only one source is capable of responding. Within 10 days of the date of the publication of this notice (August 7, 2009, 4:30 PM EST), interested firms may identify their capabilities and qualifications to respond to the requirement in writing via mail, email, or facsimile. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Responses to this notice will be used to determine whether bondafide competition exists and whether a request for quote is appropriate. No solicitation package is available. Written responses, if applicable, must be received within ten days after date of publication of this synopsis. If no affirmative responses are received within this time to determine that a comparable source more advantageous to the Government is available, an order will be placed with the above named vendor. The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) as cited in FAR 6.302-1-Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. Potential vendors are required to be registered with the Central Contractor Registration.Gov (CCR.Gov) to be eligible for award.
