Description
Omni Group Request for information: 001 Question: Repair gutter on SE corner of Bldg 46, is work limited to the front of the building from the clock tower to the SE corner of bldg? Answer: Yes 003 Question: Repair leak on south end of Bldg 1302, during walk it was stated that leaks occur throughout building. Should we address all leaks mentioned (north side and center) or just the south end leak? Answer: Should address all leaks North, Center and South. Question: Is there any preferred method for leak investigation? Will flood testing areas be acceptable means? Answer: Method to be in according to type of roof. Flood test is acceptable. 005 Question: Repair roofs where shingles are missing and worn at BLDG 3621, during walk, other contractor on site mentioned possible damaged decking in various areas. Is this SOW limited to shingle replacement in areas as seen on job walk? Answer: No, include decking repair Question: Can we submit shingle replacement pricing as a NTE (Not to Exceed) square footage? Answer: No can submit as time and material. 006 Question: Install gutters and downspouts around building 4485, can you verify that water fall in area where the two buildings adjoin can remain and no gutter system is required in this section of the roof? Answer: Yes, where two buildings adjoin no gutter required in this area. Question: No gutter type is specified. What material/system is required for this portion of the project? Answer: Aluminum to match existing brown color of roof. 008 Question: Repair leak at skylight in center of Bldg 5683, during job walk, 2 additional areas of known leaking were identified. These areas were "patched" previously with sheet metal. Both of these areas are along the skylight side of the building. Are these two areas of patching to be added to the scope of work? Answer: Yes Question: Visible water collection under membrane at base of skylight is visible. Is this issue to be addressed in this contract? Answer: Yes Ribeiro Construction Company's request for information Question: BUILDING 1302, with the repair to the four (4) areas, are we required to just stop the leak or replace a certain sized area where the leak exists or remove all wet insulation because wet area of insulation is unknown? Answer: The requirement is to fix the leaks, if in the process wet insulation is found, it is to be replaced. Question: BUILDING 4485, we need to know if there is wood sheathing behind the fascia metal to support the gutter with screws into the wood or are we going to have to find metal studs and fasten into them which might require removing some of the fascia in order to find where the metal studs are? Answer: There is no wood sheathing behind the fascia metal. Question: BUILDING 46, we need to know how many feet of the gutter fascia must be repaired because some metal is missing, some metal is badly bent out and some metal is just bowed out. Answer: Approximately 60' to match existing gutter fascia. Question: DROPED CLIN #s, it is our understanding that LINE ITEM 4 & LINE ITEM 7 have both been deleted from the SOW. Answer: Yes, Line Items number 0004 and 0007 have been deleted. Question: Please confirm and advise how these will be address in the bid and the bonding requirements for the contract. Answer: Use Company's letter head.
