- Description
- NAICS Code: 813910 THIS IS A SOLE-SOURCE PROCUREMENT, NOT AN RFQ. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (U.S. EPA), Office of Air and Radiation (OAR), Climate Protection Partnership Division (CPPD), intends to award a sole-source fixed-price purchase order under the authority of FARPart 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, to Mobile Air Conditioning Society of Lansdale, PA. The purpose of this acquisition is threefold: Support EPA efforts to promote best practices in the mobile air conditioners (MACs = vehicle air conditioners) servicing sector as well as documenting best practices; support EPA public awareness campaign on the environmental impacts of MACs; and provide planning and logistical support for an annual meeting of the Mobile Air Conditioning Climate Protection Partnership Members. The Mobile Air Conditioning Society is best suited for this work as they wrote the Mobile Air Conditioning Service Technician training manual and best practices that were used as the basis for the most recent updates to EPAs section 609 certification requirements. They are the only entity currently qualified to offer the updated training. This makes them uniquely qualified to offer support for the Mobile Air Conditioning Climate Protection Partnership servicing sector which requires not only a thorough understanding of the updated section 609 requirements, but also the ablility to identify best practices that go above and beyond compliance. They also run the only annual convention for mobile air conditioning servicing technicians. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTATION. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this posting. Notwithstanding, any firm who believes it is capable of meeting the EPA's requirements as stated herein may submit a response, which if received within 8 calendar days of the date of this announcement, will be considered. Responses to this posting must be in writing. Consideration of responses is solely within the discretion of the Government. All questions should be directed to Lorraine Lesieur via email at lesieur.lorraine@epa.gov. Telephone requests or inquiries will not be accepted.
