Description
1. Vessel(s) Required: Up to three (3) U.S. flag self-sustaining RO-RO vessels with the following minimum particulars: - Minimum 125,000 sq. ft. of deck space; a minimum 10 ft. height. - Minimum speed of 18 knots - Self-deploying slewing ramp or starboard quarter ramp with a minimum safe working load of 150 long tons and a ramp angle not to exceed 12 degrees. -At least one deck of a minimum 25,000 sqft must have a minimum deck strength of 525 psf. -Vessel must be able to carry all classes of Hazmat with the exception of ammunition. -The maximum length overall ( LOA) shall not exceed 700 ft. -The maximum laden air draft is 135 ft. -The maximum draft of the vessel shall not exceed 33 ft. In accordance with the Voluntary Intermodal Sealift Agreement (VISA) (see 72 FEDERAL REGISTER 62898, Nov 7, 2007, or most current reference), preference will be given to VISA participants. 2. Place/Range of Delivery: Vessel 1:Arabian Gulf, Port in CHOP Vessel 2:U.S. East Coast; Port in CHOP Vessel 3:Arabian Gulf/U.S. East Coast/U.S. Gulf Coast, Port in CHOP; Declarable by the Government not later than 15 October 2009 3. Place/Range of Redelivery: U.S. East Coast/U.S. Gulf Coast, Port in CHOP 4. Charter Period: Six months with one six-month option 5. Laydays:Vessel 1:02 -04 October 2009 Vessel 2:15-17 November 2009 with the Government’s option to cancel the contract at no cost to the Government not later than 15 October 2009 Vessel 3:01-20 December 2009 in which a five-day window is declarable by the Government not later than 15 October 2009 and with the Government’s option to cancel the contract at no cost to the Government not later than 15 October 2009.
