BOX 780727 Question #1: We would like to know if this project has any Asbestos involved in it. VA response: We do not anticipate any asbestos abatement. Also refer to spec section 024100 1.3, H. If any hazardous material in encountered in the demolition process, the contractor needs to contact the COTR immediately. The government will remove all hazardous material. Hazardous material means asbestos, PCB's, petroleum, hazardous waste, certain types of mold, or radioactive material as defined in the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act of 1990 (CERCLA).
