- Description
- THIS NOTICE IS CANCELLED AND WILL BE REISSUED UNDER A NEW NAICS CODE THIS DATE. RAT 28 JULY 2009 Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and its law enforcement components (i.e., U. S. Border Patrol, Office of Field Operation, and CBP Air and Marine) by the nature of their operations and facility locations have a need to off-set its water consumption within the San Pedro Watershed. CBP has calculated its overall water mitigation requirements to be between 140 acre-feet and 225 acre-feet per year. It is preferable that the mitigation would be a one-time occurrence for the required amount of the first mitigation effort. CBP will have to meet with US Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) on an annual basis to determine any changes in mitigation requirements. The mitigation must be located within the Sierra Vista Subwatershed. It is preferred that the proposed mitigation be located close to the International Border between the United States and the Republic of Mexico within the Subwatershed to better offset consumption. USFWS must be able to be approved any proposed mitigation for the mitigation to be acceptable to CBP. CBP is looking to potentially acquire the proposed mitigation next fiscal year (FY 2010) or earlier, if possible. Any offeror that believes they have a product(s) that can meet the above may submit information by e-mail (only) to Rick Travis at richard.travis@dhs.gov not later than 10 August 2009. The information must be sufficient to determine that the offeror’s capabilities to produce the above noted equipment. This synopsis is intended for information and planning purposes only and the government will not pay or otherwise reimburse respondents for information submitted. Based upon responses received, the government reserves to determine the format for solicitation.
