- REQUEST FOR FBO POSTING Posting Type: Pre-solicitation Notice Solicitation Number: AB133M-09-RB-0030 Title: Dockside Repairs of NOAA Ship HI'IALAKAI NOAA's Marine Operation Center has a requirement for dockside ship repairs to the NOAA ship Hi'ialakai. The contractor shall provide all supervision, material, and labor necessary to perform modifications, repairs, and preservation to the NOAA vessel Hi'ialakai. This vessel is home ported in Honolulu, Hawaii. The dockside work will be accomplished at the NOAA facility located on Ford Island in Pearl Harbor. HI. Performance of work is scheduled to begin on or about November 9, 2009 and be completed no later than January 5, 2010. This procurement is a 100% small business set-aside. The NAICS code for this procurement is 336611 and the size standard is 1,000 employees. The work consists of approximately 9 basic items, and 14 option items. Basic work may include, but is not limited to: Galley-Gayloard Hood annual Cleaning; Overhauls of SSDG; Install Oily Water Separator; Weight Test A and J Frames; Clean potable water tanks; Antiroll tank; Rebuild/test #4 SSDG SWBD breaker; A/C Init Condenser Leak Test/Repair; Refurbish Track point system; Replace fantail access hatches; Vest davit repairs; Increase capacity of gasoline tanks; Overhaul CTD winch motor; Install pCO2 System; Bead blasting of boat deck bow & flying bridge; Drain installation of mess decks; Remove stuffing tubes on flying bridge; Preserve magnetic compass binnacle; Renew deck in common spaces; Drain and vent pipe repairs; Remove/install Jack Staff; Replace Downspouts. • General Vessel specifications: Length (LOA): 68.3 m (224 ft); Breadth: 13.1 m (43 ft); Displacement: 2,285 long tons. The vessel will be available for pre-bid inspection in Honolulu, HI September 7-16, 2009. A pre-bid inspection can be arranged by contacting the Contract Specialist at the e-mail address provided below. All responsible and fully responsive sources may submit a bid which will be considered by the Agency. Any resulting contract will be awarded as a firm-fixed price contract.
