- Contracting Office Address: Department of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Eastern Region Acquisition Division (ERAD), 601 East 12th Street, Room 1756, Kansas City, Missouri 64106. The U.S. Department of Commerce, National Ocean Service (NOS), Center for Coastal Environmental Health and Biomolecular Research (CCEHBR) located at 219 Fort Johnson Road, Charleston, SC 29412 plans to acquire a contractor to clean duct work associated with AHu's 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and the evidence room. The only exceptions to the cleaning are the hood exhaust. Scope of work: This scope of work is to be performed by trained technical personnel, using the proper vacuuming units equipped with HEPA filters and using the proper brushing techniques, that will clean all debris from inside all duct work. The company is asked to present a report to the Contracting Officer's Technical Representative (COTR), Mr. Martin Burnett of all noticeable damage or problems with all duct work. Qualifications: All work performed under this contract shall be performed by a licensed contractor who is registered to do business in the Charleston County and the state of South Carolina. The Contractor shall guarantee all work and agree to remedy at its own expense any defects caused by poor workmanship or materials. Work must be completed observing all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. The Contractor shall perform work in a manner that conforms to all appropriate Environmental Management Programs and Operational Controls identified by the agency, organizational, or facility EMS, and provide monitoring and measurement information as necessary for the organization to address environmental performance relative to the environmental, energy, and transportation management goals. In the event an environmental nonconformance or noncompliance associated with the contracted services is identified, the Contractor shall take corrective and/or preventative actions. In the case of a noncompliance, the Contractor shall respond and take corrective action immediately. In the case of a nonconformance, the Contractor shall respond and take corrective action based on the time schedule established by the EMS Site Coordinator. In addition, the Contractor shall ensure that their employees are aware of the roles and responsibilities identified by the environmental management system and how these requirements affect their work performed under this contract. Any business interested in this project must respond to this announcement within 10 calendar days after publication of this notice, in order to receive a copy of the Request for Quotation.
