Description
The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to award a purchase order to Seattle Indian Health Board, 606 12th Ave. S., Seattle, WA 98144. The authority for this sole source is FAR Part 6.302-1. The contractor shall secure the services of the Urban Indian Health Institute (UIHI), a division within the Seattle Indian Health Board, to consult with CDC and TKC Integration Services. To facilitate data collection using a comprehensive sexual violence survey tool with women in urban A1/AN communicates in Seattle, WA. This organization is the only organization with the ability to collect this sensitive epidemiologic data. UIHI's ability comes explicitly from its specific experiences in working in and with AI/traditions throughout the nation and particularly in Washington. UIHI is the only Tribal Epidemiology Center serving in excess of 150,000 AI/individuals in Washington State and is the only tribal epicenter that works exclusively with urban Indian populations, both locally and nationally. UIHI is the only provider that has the ability to successfully identify an urban AI/AN sample I Seattle to participate in the sexual violence survey study, to help successfully facilitate the samples participant in the study and to provide culturally sensitive assessment of the survey, as well as survey results fro the AI/AN community. Firms that believe they can provide these services/supplies are encouraged to identify themselves and give written notice to the Contract Specialist prior to the response date found in this synopsis with a capability statement and proposal. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action will be based on responses to this notice and are solely within the discretion of the U.S. Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
