Description
RECOVERY - The National Park Service contemplates issuing a sole source General Service Administration (GSA) task order to Fig Leaf Software, Inc. for CommonSpot Content Management System (CMS) Support Services for NPS.gov. Fig Leaf Software, Inc. is the only vendor capable of providing the support services for Commonspot CMS (a PaperThin product) and meets the requirements of Adobe partnership and PaperThin partnership. Our current CMS is CommonSpot by PaperThin and it is not cost effective to change the software to allow competition for this requirement. Government cost estimates for replacing CommonSpot with comparable CMS software are $3M to$4M in additional resources. CommonSpot is a web based CMS as well as a ColdFusion based CMS that can be used with different backend databases. In addition, CommonSpot is a scalable CMS that is able to handle over 500 different national park sites, thousands of content authors, and is extendable to allow integration of legacy and custom built applications in varying languages and databases. Fig Leaf Software, Inc. is the sole premier partner of PaperThin. Their direct relationship with PaperThin, knowledge of CommonSpot, and proven implementation of CommonSpot instances on a scale of this magnitude make them the only qualified contractor for this task. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, interested firms or persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. The Government will consider all responses received by 10:00am MST, Friday July 31, 2009. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed task order based upond responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a compeitive procurement. Responses should be forwarded to Tonya Atencio via email at tonya_atencio@nps.gov. NPS will not provide a reply until after the closing date of Friday, July 31, 2009 when all parties have had an opportunity to respond. NO PHONE CALLS PLEASE.
