Description
NASA/NSSC has a requirement for a course entitled Computational Methods inAeroelasticity. The objective of the training is to provide an introduction tonumerical methods used in aeroelasticity in using MSC-NASTRAN.This training willprovide learners with a specialized training with focus on applicability to NASA. Thevendor shall be responsible for providing all training materials. The vendor shallconduct one three-day training to cover finite element method for simulating structuraldynamics, interpolation methods for transferring mode shapes from structural mesh toaerodynamic mesh, doublet lattice method used in unsteady aerodynamics, methods forreduction the order of computation models when using more computationally intensivemethods for solving full potential or Navier-Strokes equations. Training shall be heldat NASAs Langley Research Center September 14-16, 2009.NASA/NSSC intends to purchase the training course from American Institute of Aeronauticsand Astronautics, Inc, 1801 Alexander Bell Dr Ste 500, Reston, VA 20191-5467.Pursuantto FAR 13.106, the acquisition of these services has been determined to be reasonablyavailable from only one source.
