- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT. The Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center (MEDVAMC), Houston, TX is performing pre-solicitation market research to determine potential set-aside possibilities for SBA Certified Businesses under the following programs: Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB), 8(a), Hub Zone, Woman Owned Small Business (WOSB) and Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB). Requirements: 1. The Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center (MEDVAMC) is seeking a qualified construction Firm with specialized experience in a Hospital setting to provide all labor, materials, equipment, travel, and supervision in relocating and renovating the Nuclear Medicine Department and Expansion of the Eye Clinic. Work in general includes, but is not limited to; selective demolition, general construction, alterations, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical work. The work will be performed at the MEDVAMC, 2002 Holcombe Blvd., Houston, Texas 77030. 2. The NAICS Codes for this project is 236220 with a small business size standard of $33.5 million. 3. The magnitude of this project is between $2,000,000 and $5,000,000. 4. All responses to this announcement must be in writing and emailed to contracting officer, Tony Jackson at tony.jackson@va.gov. 5. Interested firms should send, by E-mail only, the following information: 1) Name and address of your firm, 2) Name, phone number, and email address of a point of contact, 3) DUNS number, 4) Single project Bonding capacity, total bonding capacity, and current available bonding capacity, 5) Certified business type, and 6) Narrative explaining companys experience with site preparation and renovation of areas dealing with radioactive materials, Isotopes and laser beams and structural shielding requirements for Nuclear Medicine rooms in a hospital setting or project similar in nature.
