Description
RECOVERY The Department of Veterans Affairs is looking for firms that are classified under one or more of the following socio-economic programs: SDVOSB, VOSB, HUBZone, 8(a), SDB, and/or WOSB. Firms must be an Electrical Specialty Construction Prime Contractor registered in CCR as a small business under the applicable NAICS of 238210 (size standard of $14M). Interested parties should contact the Contracting Officer by e-mail (Michael.Reed2@va.gov) or fax (315-425-4843) to assist in determining the type of procurement set-aside, if any, for the resulting four solicitations. It is anticipated the resulting solicitations will be issued before the end of August with responses due in early October. The four solicitations will be for four separate electrical projects: 528A7-09-718 Upgrade Light Fixtures to Energy Efficient Fixtures; 528A7-09-721 Upgrade Electrical Panel Boards; 528A7-09-723 Add Power Monitoring System; and 528A7-09=724 Provide Emergency Power to Building 16. The construction range for each of the first two is estimated to be between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The construction range for each of the last two is estimated to be between $100,000 and $250,000. Interested firms must also demonstrate their capability of performing at least 15% and up to 25% of the total work with their own forces. Firms having the skills, qualifications and capabilities to perform this work are invited to provide information to contribute to this market survey effort to assist in planning for the method of procurement. Responses must include: 1. Company Name 2. Address 3. Point of Contact 4. Phone Number, Fax Number, and E-mail Address 5. DUNS Number 6. Evidence of Bonding Capacity provided by Surety 7. Construction Experience as a Prime Contractor for Similar Size Projects and Complexity 8. Construction Experience in Hospital Settings 9. Demonstration of Capability of Performing the required 15%-25% of the Work with their own forces 10. Identification of which of the four projects is applicable to the expression of interest This is NOT a Request for Proposals and the Government is seeking information for market research purposes only. Firms failing to respond to this Request for Information will not be precluded from responding to the solicitations when issued. Firms responding to this Sources Sought will need to respond again to future separate FBO announcements of the anticipated procurement actions in order to receive the solicitation documents.
