- Description
- Drawing No. SLS-370-144. Furnish and deliver FOB Destination to Massena, NY, Ekki (Lophira Procera) in 10 ft. (3.05 m) lengths bevelled in accordance with the attached Drawing No. SLS-370-144. All timbers shall have sound square edges and ends. The dimensions given are the cross-sectional dimensions of the timbers prior to one corner being bevelled. Item No. 1 - 14 in. (35.6 cm) x 10.25 in. (26.0 cm) with exposed heart and with a protrusion of heart centers/heartwood allowed on the unbevelled 14 in. (35.6 cm) side only - Quantity 60 each.; Item No. 2 - 14 in. (35.6cm) x 13.25 in. (33.7 cm) with boxed heart and centers/heartwood totally encapsulated - Quantity 40 each. Tolerances on all dimensions shall be + or - 1/4 in. (0.64 cm). All timbers shall be free from sapwood, rot, wane, cracks other than normal checking and any other such defects. Delivery is required by May 1, 2010. A firm fixed price contract will be awarded the week of September 7, 2009. The Request for Quotation (RFQ) will be available for downloading from www.fedbizopps.gov on or about August 10, 2009. Hard copies of the RFQ may be requested by fax to (315) 764-3268 or email to teresa.helm@dot.gov. The proposed procurement will be a total small business set-aside. All eligible and responsible small business sources may submit a quote which shall be considered by the Saint Lawrence Seaway Development Corporation. Prospective offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) to be eligible for award. Register at www.ccr.gov. Attention: The Department of Transportation (DOT) Short Term Lending Program (STLP) offers financial assistance to eligible disadvantaged, Hubzone, or service disabled veteran owned businesses. Maximum line of credit is $750,000.00 with interest at the prime rate, as published in the Wall Street Journal, plus 2 points.
