Description

This is a notice of intended procurement of commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12-6, Streamlined Procedures. The anticipated award will be a Firm Fixed Price Contract; the award will be made on a Sole Source basis to 400HZ Repair, 3716 Ovilla Rd., Red Oak, TX, 75154-5510. The Sole Source award is directed by the Federal Republic of Germany Office of Defense Administration, Holloman Branch Office (BundeswehrVerwaltungsstelle in den USA und Kanada, Aussenstelle Holloman), in accordance with FAR 6.302-4 - International Agreement. The primary North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 335312, the Small Business Size Standard is 1000 personnel. Any information received will be maintained for future Market Research requirements. Responses are to be submitted no later than 1230 MDST 31 July 2009. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Contractor shall provide and install frequency inverters, backup power supplies and motor generators to convert US current (60Hz) into 50Hz, 400Hz and 28V DC. All 50Hz inverters need motor generators, gear or belt drive. All 400Hz inverters are solid state inverters made by Hobart. The DC power units will show various power outputs. Due to the vulnerability of the current inverters in the GAF facilities, new converters need to be installed, immediately.
