Description

DESCRIPTION: WI-FI INVESTIGATIVE AND FORENSIC DEVICES THAT MEET THE NEEDS OF LAW ENFORCEMENT EMERGENCY RESPONDERS DUE: 11 AUG 2009. The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center (SPAWARSYSCEN), Atlantic, Code 51610 (Advanced Law Enforcement Technology Branch), is seeking information about Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) Wi-Fi investigative and forensic systems. The systems shall allow law enforcement to detect and monitor Wi-Fi transmissions from suspected criminals and possibly locate the signal source and capture and decrypt transmitted packets. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Authorized Equipment List (AEL) item number for this equipment is 13LE-00-SURV. The target audience for this information is the law enforcement community and all submittals should be suited to their specific needs. Review of this information is being performed for DHS, Federal Emergency Management Agency, Advanced Technology Branch. DHS established the System Assessment and Validation for Emergency Responders (SAVER) Program to conduct comparative assessments and validation activities that provide the emergency responder community with information on important products and services. Visit the SAVER Program Web site at https://saver.fema.gov for more information on the SAVER Program. All information received will be treated as public knowledge and may be used in SAVER Program documentation; therefore, vendors should not submit proprietary information in response to this RFI. Specific information sought includes: 1. Company information, including name, address, URL, revenue, and number of employees. 2. Whether the company is a manufacturer or distributor. 3. A point of contact for follow-up information, and the point of contacts phone number and e-mail address. 4. Product name and a brief description. 5. Cost information such as purchase price and General Services Administration (GSA) schedule information. 6. System information in relation to system components, specifications, and capabilities. The submitted information will be evaluated for inclusion in SAVER projects and reports. Determination as to an individual products suitability will be made by SPAWARSYSCEN, Atlantic based on the objectives of this request. Vendors may be contacted following submission for more detailed product information. Vendor provided information may be reformatted for publication in SAVER Program documents. Submittals Respondents are required to complete the attached product summary questionnaire (Wi-Fi_RFI_pub) for each product and submit the questionnaire following the instructions on the first page of the questionnaire.
