- The purpose of this sources sought synopsis is to identify potential small business concerns for determining whether to set aside the acquisition for HUBZone concerns, 8(a) concerns, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business concerns (SDVOSB) or for Small Business. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 811310 (Commercial and Industrial Machinery Repair and Maintenance) with a size standard of $7.0. The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, supervision, parts and equipment necessary to provide yearly maintenance to seven (7) emergency diesel generators located at the Social Security Administration, 6401 Security Blvd., Baltimore, MD 21235. All maintenance work must be done after 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday, and between the months of April 1 and October 1 each year. Make and models for the generators are as follows: Alban Cat Model SR4B, Onan Diesel Models 400D FEB-36439E, 300DCF8, DCFB-4957-643, DFAC-5702954 Caterpillar Diesel Model 3412 and Kohler Model 80ROZJ. SSA anticipates awarding a five-year (base year and four option years), firm fixed price, commercial services contract. Contract award is anticipated by September 2009. Multiple awards are not applicable. Small business concerns responding to this sources sought notice must: 1.Indicate your company's applicable small business status category(ies) based on the size standard above and applicable regulations related to HUBZone, 8(a) and SDVOSB status. 2.Provide a capability statement inclusive of experience in the form of an outline of previous projects for specific relevant work completed or currently being performed of equivalent magnitude including contract numbers, description of work, points of contact with phone numbers and email addresses; and any other pertinent information that would enable the government to assess your company's capabilities. The government reserves the right to set this acquisition aside for HUBZone concerns, 8(a) concerns, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business concerns (SDVOSB) or for Small Business based on the responses it receives. It is imperative that firms respond with the required information for capabilities to be accurately evaluated. Capability statement responses should be limited to five (5) pages.
