Description
The National Park Service, Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Part, has identified a requirement to solicit the purchase and delivery of 2200 tons of SC 3000, 3/8 inch aggregate cold mix asphalt. This combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items has been prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; propasals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is N8564090113 and is issued as a Request for Proposals (RFP). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-35, dated July 14 2009. This solicitation is set-aside for small business. The North American Standard Industrial Classifications System Code is 423320 and the small business size is less than 100 employees. THE FOLLOWING ARE MINIMUM REQUIRESMENTS: Job Description: Asphalt Purchase and Delivery to Stockpile Sites (4). Specifications Product: SC 3000 3/8 inch aggregate Cold Mix Asphalt Total Quantity: 2200 tons Delivery Date:Sept 1, 2009 - October 29, 2009 Delivery Quantities: 100-200 ton per day Delivery Days: Will Vary, Monday through Saturday Delivery Time: Will Vary, 6:00 AM-3:00 PM Delivery Temperature of Asphalt: Above 100 F. Delivery Method: To Stockpile. Delivery Location/QuantitySites # 1Quail Flat, 1000 tons Located on the Generals Highway 3.6 miles South from the Junction of Highway 180. Site # 2 Turnout MP 2., 1000 tons Located on the Generals Highway 11.2 miles South from the Junction of Highway 180. (2 miles North of Sequoia National Park Boundary) Site #3 Lodgepole Campground, 100 tonsLocated mile off the Generals Highway 25 miles south from the junction of highway 180.Site #4 Giant Forest Parking Lot, 200 tonsLocated on The Generals Highway 29 miles south from the junction of Highway 180 For sites # 3 Lodgepole Campground and #4 Giant Forest parking Lot, delivery trucks can expect 60 minute traffic delays, 30 minute maximum each direction, Monday-Friday 6.00 am-8.00am and 120 minute traffic delays, 60 minute maximum each direction, for Federal Highway rehabilitation project in process within Sequoia National Park on the Generals Highway between the Wolverton road turnoff and Little Baldy Saddle.
