Description
The project is located on the east coast of Florida in St. Johns County, about 11 miles South of the mouth of the St. Johns River. The Base Bid is to dredge approximately 217,000 cubic yards (cy) of material to a required depth of 11 ft in SJ-5 and 10 ft in SJ-4 from Cut SJ-4 Station 40+00 to Cut SJ-5 Station 80+00 with placement in the existing DU-9 Dredge Material Management Area (DMMA), located approximately 4.0 miles from the southerly extent of the project. Option A is to dredge approximately 37,000 cy of material to a required depth of 10 ft from Cut SJ-4 Station 00+00 to Station 40+00 with placement in the designated disposal area, DU-9. Option B is to dredge approximately 12,400 cy of material to a required depth of 10 ft from Cut SJ-2 Station 23+00 to Cut SJ-3 Station 37+26.7 with placement in the disposal area, DU-9. Work also includes outfall pipeline installation, emergency shut off valve installation, weir board modification and potentially minor dike repairs at the disposal area. The emergency shut off valve will be furnished by the Government for installation by the contractor. Magnitude of construction is between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00. THIS PROCUREMENT IS A SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE.
