- Description
- RECOVERY ACT Project #R646-08-115 - "Renovate 4 East for SICU" at the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, University Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15240. Contractor shall provide all travel, labor, materials, tools, instruments, supervision, and all other items as necessary to perform work for construction services for project "RECOVERY - Renovate 4E for SICU" at the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, University Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15240. Work includes, but is not necessarily limited to, general construction, alterations, mechanical and electrical work, utility systems, necessary removal of existing structures and construction and certain other items in accordance with specifications and drawings. The NAICS code is 236220 with the small business size standard of $33.5M. This is a 100% set-aside procurement for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) concerns. Responses from other than SDVOSB concerns will not be considered and shall be rejected. The construction cost range for this project is between $2,000,000.00 and 5,000,000.00. Solicitation will be available on/about Thursday, August 13, 2009 to interested parties through electronic data interchange at http://www.fedbizopps.gov for downloading free of charge. Drawings are in AutoCAD 2007 format. The offeror is responsible to download all amendments and other documents from this website without further notices from the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System. It is highly recommended that you complete the solicitation mailing list on the website before downloading the solicitation. Bidders are advised that they are responsible for obtaining amendments from the website. Contact VAeCMSAdmin@va.gov regarding any problems downloading the solicitation from the website. A Pre-Bid Conference is anticipated for on/about Friday, August 28, 2009 at 9:00 a.m. at VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, Conference Room B, University Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15240. "NOTE: All offerors are strongly encouraged to attend the Prebid Conference. Questions must be submitted to the Contracting Officer by e-mail to Cheryl.Weidner@va.gov or by fax to 412-954-4057 no later than August 26, 2009 so they can be addressed at the Pre-bid Conference. Bid opening will be on/about Tuesday, September 15, 2009 at 2:00 PM in the A&MM Conference Room 373E, Third Floor, Bldg. 4 at the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, 7180 Highland Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15206. All qualified responsive/responsible SDVOSB concerns may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency if received timely. Further questions will be accepted by the Contracting Officer by e-mail or fax until close of business September 3, 2009 (six calendar days) after the Pre-bid Conference, and responses will be provided to all bidders on the Bidder's Mailing List. Questions received later than six (6) calendar days after the Pre-bid Conference may not be addressed in the interest of adhering to the scheduled bid opening date. Prospective contractors shall complete electronic annual representations and certifications at http://orca.bpn.gov, shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database at http://www.ccr.gov and be registered at http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov prior to award of a contract.
