- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation FA4877-09-Q-0421A is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-35, Defense Circular Number 20090715-1, Air Force Acquisition Circular 2009-0318. This procurement is being issued as a total small business set aside under NAICS code 314999. 0001 - Parachutist Rough Terrain System (PRTS) also know as " TREE SUIT(s)" or Equal (Size: LARGE) (Qty: 12 Units) FEATURES: Jacket has Elbow made from "RUBATEX" style foam w/hard plastic; hand tack shoulder and elbow pad into suit; Shape collar for better visibility in front; add hard plastic to back for spine protection. Pants are resized and relocated knee pad, make from "RUBATEX" Style foam w/hard plastic; knee pad sleeve to open from top; Encase seat pad with three panel sleeve; utilize "O-Ring" in letdown harness, with space to allow carabiner below ring; Positive locking hardware on leg pocket closure; polypropylene webbing to be used on suspenders; suits are made of KEVLAR RIPSTOP MATERIAL. COLOR is OD GREEN (ADVANCE GREEN). The tree suits must be compatible in all the following 10 areas: 1.Tested and evaluated to safely operate and open with parachutes MC-4, MC1-1D, SOVIII and T10R's; 2.Padding relocated allowing zero interference with 40-80lb ruck sack carried between jumpers legs; 3. The collar is shaped for better visibility during jump operations; 4. Positive locking hardware on leg pocket, which endures jumper's 150ft let-down line is secured; 5.Utilize "O-ring" in letdown harness, with space to allow carabineer below ring; 6.Elbow & knee pads are made of "Rubatex" style foam w/hard plastic; 7.Resize and relocate knee pad for better protection in the chin and thigh area; 8.Knee pad to sleeve to open from the top; 9.
