Description
This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the Internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Naval Sea Systems Command. Amendment 0001 to synopsis N00178-09-Q-3047 is for 2/each, storage servers. The purpose for this amendment is to provide clarification for 3 questions submitted by a vendor, and to extend closing date 1 additional day. Closing date is 24 July 2009, no later than 2:00 PM local time. Question #1: Synopsis asks for 2/each Dual IOP638 1200MHz PCI Express SAS 3.0Gb/s RAID controllers. Does this mean that each server will have (2) of these controllers, or will each server require only (1) of each? Answer: Will require 2 Dual IOP638 1200MHz PCI Express SAS 3.0 Gb/s RAID controllers per server. Question #2: Synopsis asks for 4/each (Quad) Intel 82576 Gigabit LAN card. Does this mean that each server requires (2) Quad-Port Gig Eth Card, or (1) Quad-Port Eth Card per server? Answer: Will require (1) quad card per server. Question #3: Synopsis ask for 19 inch Rack mountable in a chassis that is =<6U. Would an 8U Rackmount be acceptable? Answer: Due to space limitations, Government highly prefers 6U. Government will accept an 8U, if necessary. The closing date for receipt of quotations is extended one additional day. The closing date is now 24 July 2009. Offers may be submitted vial e-mail in Microsoft format to Kevin.m.quinn2@navy.mil, or facisimile at (540) 653-6810, Attn: CXS13-7. Reference RFQ Number N00178-09-Q-3047 on all correspondence.
