Description
THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS for information and planning purposes and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. This is not a solicitation announcement for proposals and NO CONTRACT will be awarded from this announcement. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement or any follow-up information requests. The U.S. Department of the Army, Department of Public Works, Environmental Division, Fort Sam Houston, TX is conducting a Market Survey to identify small businesses, small disadvantaged businesses and 8(a) certified businesses to provide geology services. The contractor shall perform endangered species monitoring, karst faunal surveys, biological monitoring, and red import fire ant treatment at Camp Bullis, TX in accordance with the performance work statement. A statement regarding the contractors capabilities is attached. The period of performance is 1 October 09 through 30 September 10. Firms responding should indicate whether they are, or are not, a small business, a socially and economically disadvantage business or a woman owned business and demonstrate in writing their ability to meet each of the capabilities provided in the capabilities statement. The general definition of a small business is one that is independently owned and operated, is not dominant in the field of operation in which it is proposing on Army contracts and with its affiliates; and the annual receipts does not exceed $7 million under North American Industry Classification System Code 541620 for Environmental Consultant Services. The Army reserves the right to consider a small business set-aside based upon responses hereto for any subsequent acquisition. Small business respondents should provide a statement of capabilities to assist in the Army making a set-aside decision. Respondents are further requested to indicate their status as a Foreign-owned/Foreign-controlled firm and any contemplated use of foreign national employees on this effort. All interested sources should respond to Maria.fidone@us.army.mil All interested small business entities responding to this market survey must submit their responses no later than 4:00 PM Central Standard Time on 28 July 2009.
