- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT FOR MARKET RESEARCH PURPOSES ONLY. The Fort Hood Directorate of Contracting, Fort Hood, TX is in the process of determining the acquisition strategy for the procurement and installation of two air compressors, one heatless desiccant air dryer, one breathing air purifying system, and one filter package for oil free air for the compressor that supplies air going to the breathing air system at Fort Hood. This is a request for information (RFI) and not a formal request for quote (RFQ). Any formal RFQ will be announced separately at a later time. Information provided to the Government as a result of this posting is strictly voluntary and given with no expectation of compensation, and clearly provided at no cost to the Government. Contact with Government personnel, other than the Contracting Officer or Contract Specialist, by potential offerors or their employees regarding this requirement is strictly prohibited. The purpose of this RFI is to locate capable businesses that are interested in providing the contemplated supplies at Fort Hood. The U.S. Army is interested in determining if sufficient and qualified small businesses are available and interested in providing the contemplated replacement and installation of two air compressors, one heatless desiccant air dryer, one breathing air purifying system, and one filter package for oil free air for the compressor that supplies air going to the breathing air system as follows: The two air compressors shall meet or exceed the specifications of the Sullair 7509 Series Heavy-Duyt Industrial Air Compressor. The heatless desiccant air dryer shall meet or exceed the specifications of the Sullair TW1000 Heatless Desiccant Air Dryer. The breathing air purification system shall meet or exceed the combined specifications of the Sullair Model 1509e Heavy-Duty Industrial Air Compressor and Deltech Del-Monox DM-75 Breathing Air Purifier. The filter package shall meet or exceed the specifications of the Sullair Filter Package of Oil Free Air (SCF-125N, SCH-125N, SCC-125N). Setup includes removal of existing Champion 100 HP, Sullair 125 HP compressor, Pneumatech AD-400 compressed air dryer, Champion 20 HP compressor, and Nomonox breathing air system, as well as installation of the systems listed above. Contractor is to retain and reconnect the OS-94 oil/water separator to all compressors, dryers, and receiver tanks. Contractor is to connect compressor control panels for sequencing operation that will be used for shop air and all electrical connections to existing electrical disconnects. The Army reserves the right to set-aside this entire acquisition for small business; however, we invite both large and small businesses to address the questions below. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 423830 with a size standard of 100. Interested small business concerns that are certified and qualified as a HUBZone small business under NAICS 423830, and registered in the Central Contractor Register (CCR) under NAICS 423830, shall provide evidence that the company can provide the contemplated supplies. To support the set-aside decision, it is particularly important that potential small business concerns provide industry comments as follows: (1) If you are a Small Business that has provided the contemplated supplies under NAICS 423830 and plan on participating in the competition of this acquisition, please provide information relative to past performance and/or experience in providing the supplies requested above. Information should be sufficient to demonstrate the companys ability to provide this requirement; (2) State your business size, average numbers of employees and approximate annual gross revenue; (3) Please list your specific small business status (if applicable) for your company whether (a) HUB Zone Small Business; (b) Small Disadvantaged Business; (c) 8(a) Firm; (d) Women-owned Small Business; (e) Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business; (f) Veteran-Owned Small Business; and (g) other (explain); (4) Please provide your company's name, CAGE code, DUNS, Tax ID Number (TIN), address, point of contact, telephone number, and e-mail address; (5) Please provide suggestions to maximize the effectiveness of the anticipated RFQ and resulting order in providing quality supplies and services to Fort Hood, TX.
