Description
The 21st Contracting Squadron, Peterson Air Force Base (AFB), Colorado seeks potential sources to perform non-personal services for magnetic particle inspection for springs maintenance of the Cheyenne Mountain Complex on Cheyenne Mountain Air Force Station, Colorado. This solicitation, FA2517-09-T-5018, is open to 100% small business and the Government anticipates soliciting for the award of a performance-based, Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract. The Government proposes to use the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code of 541380 - Testing Laboratories. The size standard is $12.0 million. A Request for Proposal (RFP) for this requirement will be issued before 31 August 2009. The performance period will be from 1 November 2009 to 30 November 2009. The anticipated award date is 30 September 2009, subject to the availability of funds. Contractor responsibilities include providing management, labor, tools, equipment and materials necessary to perform magnetic particle testing on the structural springs supporting Bldg. 9000 inside the Cheyenne Mountain Air Force Station (CMAFS) complex. The scope of this project includes 150 of the 165 structural springs underneath Bldg. 9000. Lead dust may be present in the paint or on the surface of the structural springs. The Contractor will perform in accordance with all applicable commercial standards established by the industry, federal, state, local and Air Force Occupational Safety and Health (OSHA) regulatory requirements. Contractor must obtain all necessary licenses and permits, complying with all federal, state, and municipal laws, codes and regulations applicable to the performance of the work and must be able to provide proof of such applicable licenses and permits upon Government request. Contract award will be based on lowest price technically acceptable, best value to the Air Force.
