- The TACOM Life Cycle Management Command (LCMC) is hosting its third annual PM-SKOT Industry Day. The conference will be held August 18 19, 2009 at the iWireless Center in Moline, IL. PM-SKOT refers to Sets, Kits, Outfits and Tools managed by PM-SKOT, in Rock Island, Illinois. The purpose of this conference is to provide a forum for information sharing about PM-SKOT business opportunities, issues, and challenges. The agenda for Day One, Tuesday, 18 August 2009 will begin at 0800 and will include, but is not limited to the following topics, Introduction and PM SKOT overview, JCIDs (Joint Capabilities) Process, PM Joint Combat Support System Award Presentation, New Business Opportunities to include, MWMSS, SECM Trailer Prototype, Expeditionary Fire Refill System, Fire Fighting Systems, Other New Business Opportunities to include, Ordnance, Engineering Special Tools, Contracting Overview and Issues, Short Term, Long Term Contracts Expiring, Best Value, Berry Amendment, DPAP Policy, Technical Policy, and BRAC. If there are specific topics of interest to your company that you would like to see addressed during the Industry Day presentations, please send those requests to Ms. Denise Wyche no later than 5 August 2009 (e-mail address provided below). There will also be a Q&A Panel, and a scheduled end of day at 1630. There will be space available for vendor display/demos during and after lunch on day one, however, interested vendors MUST reserve an area for their companys tabletop display not later than August 12, 2009. A no host social hour at Twenty Bar N Grill in Moline, beginning at 1800 is planned. The agenda for Day 2, Wednesday, August 19, 2009, 0730-1130, will include a brief introduction, and will be used for subcontracting and teaming opportunities as described below. Finally, PM-SKOT intends to set aside time in half-hour intervals to meet individually with interested contractors at their requests. The purpose of these individual breakout meetings (between Government Representatives and individual contractors) is to ensure PM SKOT understands the contents of the information provided as well as to provide a confidential forum for contractor specific questions or comments about PM SKOT business opportunities. Please provide a list of participants you wish to send to the conference, your request for reservations for your companys tabletop display, and breakout session requests to denise.wyche@us.army.mil or laura.macmanus@us.army.mil by August 5, 2009. Wednesdays schedule with specific names and times for the presentations and breakouts will be provided on Industry Day, Day One, (Tuesday). In the event there are more participants than space available, it may be necessary to limit the number of participants. Should this situation present itself, PM-SKOT will contact your companys designated POC and request an updated list of attendees.
