- This is a Pre-solicitation Notice.Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Puget Sound will be soliciting for Laboratory Reagents to support medical diagnostic efforts in accordance with specifications to be provided in the solicitation. Anticipating contract award with a base year, and 2 one-year options.Reagents will be utilized in support of various Naval Hospitals and clinics throughout Japan and Diego Garcia.The acquisition is anticipated to be negotiated on a sole source basis per FAR 6.302 with the following manufacturers: Immucor Gamma, Becton Dickinson, Kimberly Clark, Hematronix, Bayer Diagnostics, Fisher Scientific, Chase, Trinity Biotech, Spectral Diagnostics, PolyMed Company, Wampolo, Beckman Coulter, Remel Inc., Hardy Diagnostic, Ortho Clinical, Pacific Hemostasis, Biosite, PDI, Andover, Bio Rad, Biomeriux Vitek, Ballard Medical, Eppendorf, Simmler, Baxter Healthcare, Medi Flex, Quidel, Evergreen, Sigma, Elkay, Meridian Diagnostic, Greiner, and Strek Laboratories - items will be noted in solicitation.Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals prior to offer due date, which will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination not to compete this action based upon responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.There will various quantities and delivery times.Terms will be FOB Destination to the following possible locations: Naval Hospital Yokosuka, Japan; Naval Hospital Okinawa, Japan, Branch Medical Clinic Atsugi, Japan; Branch Medical Clinic Iwakuni, Japan; Branch Medical Clinic Sasebo, Japan; and a Health Service Department in Diego Garcia. Items for Diego Garcia that require refrigeration will be shipped to the Naval Hospital in Yokosuka, Japan - marked for Diego Garcia in order to check/maintain temperature requirements.Period of performance for the base year will be October 1, 2009 through September 30, 2010.It is anticipated that the solicitation will be posted to the NECO website on or about July 27, 2009 with proposals due by on or about August 13, 2009. A Firm-Fixed Price, Supply type contract will be awarded in accordance with FAR parts 12 and 13.5, Commercial and Simplified Acquisition Procedures.All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by FISCPS. This solicitation and any subsequent amendments will be posted to the NECO website: https://www.neco.navy.mil. Prospective offerors are responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation from this website and for frequently monitoring that site for any amendments. The Government is not responsible for any inability of the offeror to access the posted documents.
