Description
The Philadelphia VA Medical Center, Philadelphia, PA intends to enter into a sole source contract with Datalux Corporation, 155 Aviation Drive, Winchester, VA to obtain 12 IPIX integrated LCD monitors and network computers, for use with Lionville System medication carts, together with related equipment. Due to unique features relating to infection control solutions and use in the hospital environment, the Datalux systems have been identified as the only system capable of fulfilling the Government's needs. Required features include compliance with IEC-60601-1 requirements for use in patient care environments, antimicrobial additive in the IPIX plastic case and powder-coated metal parts, fanless cooling system to prevent intrusion of airborne dirt and germs, sealed case capable of being disinfected, small and lightweight (2.5 inches thick and 11 pounds) with VESA mount for use with mobile medicine carts. This announcement constitutes the only notice issued; a separate written solicitation will NOT be issued. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR 13.106-(b). This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Vendors offering systems the include the combination of functions indicated above and are comparable to the Datalux system are invited to respond to this notice by supplying descriptive information about their systems to the designated Contract Specialist not later than 3:00 pm (EDST) on May 6, 2009.
