- Description
- The Social Security Administration (SSA), Atlanta Region, plans to issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) solicitation to acquire Medical Consultant (MC) Services in the specialty of Neurology (1). This requirement is a 100 percent small business set-aside. The NAICS code is 621111. The Size Standard is $9.0 million. Proposals received from other than small business concerns will not be accepted. The services will be performed at SSA’s Atlanta office located at 61 Forsyth Street, SW, Atlanta, GA 30303. The contractor’s responsibilities will include: providing oral and/or written consultations resulting from reviews of SSA disability case files; consulting with SSA’s medical policy staff related to the development of SSA disability policies; training other MC contractors and other personnel; working with Government and non-government agencies and/or medical or non-medical personnel that have related interests in providing input regarding SSA programs and its objectives. There will be no contact with patients. Solicitation is scheduled for release on or about August 4, 2009, with a closing date of September 4, 2009. The period of performance shall be date of award, whichever is later through December 31, 2009, with provisions for four 1-year renewable option periods. No telephone requests for the RFPs will be honored. The solicitation (and any amendments) will be available for downloading on the Federal Business Opportunity website at www.fedbizopps.gov for all interested parties. Note: Any prospective offeror must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) in order to be eligible for award. To register in CCR at the website: www.ccr.gov, applicants must have a DUN and Bradstreet number and Tax Identification Number (TIN). All contract awardees will have to undergo a security background screening.
