- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. THIS ACQUISITION WILL BE MADE UNDER THE SIMPLIFIED ACQUISITION THRESHOLD OF $100,000.00. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a written RFQ will not be issued. The SIC code for this acquisition is 5047. This procurement is 100% Small Business set-aside and is open to all responsible small business sources. The following is a description of required service: Product performance must be equal or better than the Thermo Scientific Shandon Varistain Gemini ES Automatic Slide Stainer with heat (dual voltage, with monitor), to include: 1. Stainer must be supplied with heater and monitor2. Minimum slide capacity: 5 (baskets) x 20 (slides/basket)3. Bath capacity (trough): 420mL4. Protocols: multiple (up to 15) protocol execution with continuous loading. 5. Immersion time: must allow for variable time from less than one second to continuous minutes. 6. Storage temperature range: must be able to set temperature at 77C on heater stations (minimum of 5 heater stations); otherwise, ambient temperature.7. Water pressure: must be between 0.2 bar (3 psi) and 10 bar (145 psi)8. DI water pressure: same as above when regulated from DI unit.9. Must have minimum of 6 running water stations.10. Operating conditions: +5C up to +40C (at maximum relative humidity of 60%)11. Must have direct screen access to daily functions.12. Auto-return: must be able to recall any loaded basket to the load door.13. Auto-allocation: must be able to optimize reagent usage and effectively use available staining stations to calculate the quickest throughput path for a particular protocol.14. Load-on-demand with urgent start option: must be able to prioritize urgent baskets without compromising previously loaded staining baskets. 15. Must have minimum of 4 configurable doors for loading and unloading.16. Security: must have password protection for protocol security.17. Safety features: must include ability to control fumes (with carbon filters or vent adapter kits) on internal flow regulators, anti-siphon devices to protect water supply, and smart software to keep robotic arm from entering user-accessed areas.18. Quality control: must be able to display reagent usage and batch throughput.19. Power requirements: 110-240V AC, 50/60Hz, 300VA.20. Secondary Circuit: Battery Backup should run 30 minutes to complete protocol.21. Product must include regent pots, reagent pot covers, staining basket/carriers, charcoal filter, water wash pot, water inlet hose, outlet hose, operator manual, screened data cable, VGA monitor, VGA extension cable, and power cord set.22. Product must be able to fit on a laboratory bench.21. Product must come with no less than a one-year warranty covering parts and labor.22. Quoted price must include shipping costs.
