Description: The NPS is looking for the services of a contractor who shall conduct a program of investigation including, but not limited to, background research, documentation of existing conditions, geophysical prospecting, limited testing of geophysical anomalies, of two abandoned military cemeteries within the Wilderness Battlefield Unit of Fredericksburg and Spotsylvania County Battlefields Memorial National Military Park (FRSP) located in Spotsylvania County, Virginia. Neither site has been the subject of any prior investigation. The desire of the park is to develop interpretive opportunities and to make these abandoned military cemeteries accessible to the public. This includes a Base bid for the investigation of the cemeteries along with studies etc. Pluse one option for a preservation plan for the abandoned military cemeteries. All work shall be done in accordance with the scope of work. Solicitation will be available on or about 7/27/09, quotes will be due on 8/25/09. NAICS Code is 812220. This is a small business set aside.
