- Description
- The Corps of Engineers has a project that involves the demolition of an existing building and partial foundation and the design and construction of a pre-engineered pole building (wood framed with metal siding and roofing). The new pole building will have a concrete floor with trench drains, natural gas heat, electric and water service. Rough/fine grading will be required to prepare the site for the new building and the construction of a new asphalt driveway and parking lot. A 200' length of the existing dam access road will be milled and paved and typical new construction asphalt pavement courses and sub-base shall be used to construct a new driveway and parking lot. A 10'x12', three sided structure with roof will be constructed in the parking lot for use as a hopper for anti-skid material. Chain link fencing with a vehicle gate shall also be installed. The period of performance for this procurement is estimated to be 540 calendar days after the contractor received the notice to proceed. The NAICS for this job is 236220 and the small business size standard is $33.5 Million. Magnitude of the project is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. This procurement will be setaside for Hubzone and any resulting award will be made pursuant to the above program. The Invitation for Bid (IFB) will be issued approximately July 29, 2009, on-line only through Federal Business Opportunities; therefore, requests for hardcopies of the specification and drawings will not be honored. Requests must be made by registering for this solicitation through Federal Business Opportunities at https://www.fbo.gov.
