Description
PMTRASYS will host a presolicitation conference at the Motor Transport Instructional Company, building M107, located at Camp Johnson, within the Camp Lejeune complex, Jacksonville, NC. The purpose is to provide interested vendors information in regards to the RFP for the C-15 engine trainer that will be used to support training on the new LVS-R motor transport vehicle. Interested vendors shall provide the contract specialist (Graham Oliff) with the following information (by email) of the three individuals per company who will attend: Company Name, Person's Name and their date of birth. No walk-ins will be allowed.The presolicitation conference will commence at 9:30am on July 28th, in building M107, aboard Camp Johnson. Participating vendors will need to proceed to the visitor's center at Camp Lejeune's main gate in order to obtain a visitor pass "prior" to being allowed on board Camp Johnson. The main gate is located on NC Hwy 24, approx 5 miles, East from downtown Jacksonville, NC from the intersection of US Hwy 17 and NC Hwy 24. Camp Johnson is located approx 1.5 miles from this same intersection, just off NC Hwy 24 with the road leading to the Beirut Memorial and National cemetery. Upon obtaining permission to enter from the sentry at Camp Johnson, proceed to the first intersection and take a right. Proceed to the large brick building on the left (approx mile) and park in the lot on the left. Signs will be posted directing vendors to the classroom. To obtain your visitor pass, you will need the following: photo ID, current driver's license, car registration or rental car agreement, and proof of insurance. On the pass, you need to stipulate visiting Camp Johnson, MTIC, Reason: Industry day, Sponsor: Maj. Greg Lusk, Ph: 910-450-0861. The visitor center and area traffic is extremely busy in the early morning; therefore, it is recommended that if you arrive on Monday, you should obtain your pass on Monday afternoon/evening.The Presolicitation Day will consist of a brief by the PM TRASYS contract representative. Vendors will then be provided a site visit within a typical shop area to observe the type of training and to gain insight for their proposals. Only one vendor at a time will be escorted into the training rooms. There will be a brief on the VADS (Vehicle Automotive Diagnostic Systems) that will be used with the trainer.
