- This office will issue a Request for Quotations which will result in a firm-fixed price contract(s) for road reconstruction on the Poplar Bluff Ranger District of the Mark Twain National Forest in Wayne County, Missouri. The solicitation is open to both large and small business participation. Award will be made based on the best value to the Government and can be made on the initial offers received. IN ORDER TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR AN AWARD, POTENTIAL CONTRACTORS MUST COMPLY WITH ALL REQUIREMENTS OF FAR 52.204-7, CENTRAL CONTRACTOR REGISTRATION. Project Description and Estimated Quantities – Forest Road 5820, Ematrude Road: Removal of structures or obstructions (1 lump sum); road reconditioning (1.6 miles); 1-inch minus crushed aggregate (1,375 tons); 2-inch to 4-inch crushed aggregate (520 tons); furnish and place native boulders (4 each). The Government estimate for this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 237310. The small business size standard is $33.5 million in average annual receipts for the past 3 fiscal years. Offers may be mailed or hand-delivered to Mark Twain National Forest, Attn: Anita Young, 401 Fairgrounds Road, Rolla, MO 65401. This solicitation will be available for downloading from this website (www.fbo.gov) on or about July 28, 2009. No hard copies of the solicitation will be mailed from this office.
