- Description
- The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) is requesting information regarding Exterior Paint Removal and Application for our Austin Submission Processing Center located in Austin, Texas. The areas to be covered compose approximately 66,600 square feet. Areas shall include four (4) courtyards, exterior walls, 174 columns, and various tectum, plywood, brick, and window surfaces. The contractor shall provide all management, supervision, labor, materials, supplies, and equipment (except otherwise provided), and shall plan, schedule, coordinate, and assure effective performance of all services described herein. Primer used shall be a high performance epoxy ester rust inhibitive metal primer, which shall provide corrosion protection and rusty metal adhesion. No alkyd primers shall be allowed. Primer color shall be a pale gray, and two (2) coats shall be required for corrosive areas. The primer shall also be an excellent alkali resistant masonry bonding primer, and it shall meet Federal specification TT-C-530b. Finish coats, of which there shall be two (2), shall be a white latex exterior paint with low sheen. All primer and paint shall be approved prior to application. Contractor duties shall consist of, but are not limited to, the following: 1) Power washing/striping and priming all surfaces to be painted, which shall include metals, soffits, I-beam out rigger extensions, and concrete surfaces; 2) Applying two (2) coats of paint; and 3) Removing any and all debris from the work site. The government anticipates that working hours will be Mondays through Fridays from 7am to 6pm and weekends from 7am to 7pm. The length of time to complete all work shall be determined. Contractor shall abide by all applicable local, state, and federal laws, including but not limited to the requirements of the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. CCR registration must remain current throughout the period of performance. Contractors interested in providing this service are requested to submit written Capability Statements within the time allowed for responses. Each Capability Statement shall include performance information relating to same/similar services provided to either the government or general public. To reiterate, this is a Sources Sought request, which will serve as part of the government's market research/survey. This is not a solicitation for quotations and/or proposals.
